Looks like people aren't willing to give governments control of the Internet

The name they gave their little operation was kind of funny...

LOL. Self-titled, I suppose.

I am not in favour of censorship, but I do not appreciate excessively radical actions that endanger the services provided to innocent people. I don't know what harm the attack did when it shut down the AU gov't site, but I'm sure some people were affected who didn't deserve to be. Just my opinion.

Hey, Sal. Your headline REALLY caught my attention: AU are also the commonly recognized initials for our local university and I wouldn't want to see THEM hacked! lol

But then I quickly realized the story would be about Australia. (I can't imagine our AU censoring anything, though.)

Well Australia is up to its eyeballs in attempted censorship.  Google just rejected another attempt of Australia to shut down info at its own discrestion (or lack thereof)

As far as innocent people being affected by anti-censorship movements.......stop and
think about how affected innocent people are going to be if we allow censorship to
take hold. Today it's controversial subjects - tomorrow anyting you are ordered not
to think. I support anything that will shut down censorship.
