Yes, of course, admin has final say. Nobody can even MAKE a group that violates site rules. You bring Warez on the site you are done. You allow it in your group your done - it is against the law of the land, PERIOD. But the Group Leader is the mod of that group. They are the ones involved in their group - they know what kind of group they want. If you don't like swearing in your group and someone is saying "fuck" three times a sentence, you may remove them. Some group leaders will not moderate speech. If someone is harassing another member of your group, it is YOUR job as creator of a group to get rid of them. You cannot expect the moderators to run around patrolling YOUR group. What comes of a site where members have free reign to create groups and there are hundreds - yet they can't moderate their own club? We will not have our time wasted taking care of your "babies".
If you have formed a group, you have the vision of what you want for that group, it is your vision you must follow.
Other than that - there will be a time that groups will need to be okayed before created. We are here so that there is a solid foundation of people who understand the site mechanics, the ethos, the rules before the door opens. We can not have a mass of confused joiners with no experienced people in the area to help out when the flood gates open. Some of what you get free - will be fee soon.
Of course on site blogs and pages, etc - Admin will moderate. We will kick anyone to the curb that violates our terms and rules generally. Yes what we say is bottom line. IF we boot you, you are booted. Period. There have already been spammers axed while you have been enjoying the scenery.
There are 4 admin. Jared, of course, He is Ra in this universe. His word is final no matter what ANYONE thinks. GT, Michael Mayo, and myself are admin. We are the guard dogs, traffic directors, site hosts and hostesses, the support crew, and coordinators. We wear whatever hat we must to get this site into a full functioning and valuable machine. As the site grows, there wll probably be need of further moderation even without the need to babysit groups.
Judiciary takes up matters of complaints that need arbitration. It is the Judiciary Review Board's function to make sure that arbitration worthy complaints are addressed. We can make mistakes, we can be confounded. We need some sort of arbitrage and the Chief Justice will take the roll of arbtirator. If policy here is deemed necessary, the Chief Justice and Review Board, will make decisions that will allow for policies to be put into effect in non-restrictive as possible fashions.
We have already extended the offer of the Judiciary to a very astute and worthy TMer and are waiting for an Iye or Nye.
