I joined FB last month, haven't done much with it though. It's quite strange though, the concept of approaching people and asking them to be your friend. Or maybe I'm just too polite!

Lynn, It's usually to keep people that already know connected. Everyones wall is private by default which I like so some stranger or someone you don't like can't just access your posts, your pictures, etc. So if you send friend requests to relatives, coworkers, old friends, current friends, it doesn't seem strange. They know who you are, so they'll accept. Lately lots of internet pals, or people who have never met or talked in person but are on the same forum or play the same game or help each other market add each other too. When I first joined I had no clue what I was doing or even the point of it. Turns out a great way to connect, I found ppl I hadn't talked to in yrs and probably would have never talked again cause of moving away and time or whatever and now we're talking everyday and closer than we ever were.

Great group going here, friends! I am not on FaceBook (believe it or not), but once I get rolling with TM, I may reconsider it. For now, too busy to start something new.

It's good to have experienced FBers to help guide those of us who will have questions.

LOL. I don't feel guilty. I've always kept business and personal separate ... except I spend so much time now in a few choice forums and membership sites, I don't think a person can GET much more social than I've been without visiting in person.

Soon, I expect to be picking up my activity here at TM, then we'll see what happens.
