Just you wait... I got a bunch of em...
I will try to post a new story each week that I've experienced personally at the farms & mountains, or one of my Vermonter friends adventures...
(Heads up it is a bit gruesome, but hilarious...)
Here's a quick hunting story about my uncle Tom, who was bow hunting and shot a deer straight in the mouth with his arrow, right down the throat. Of course, the deer went down so he proceded to walk over to it and tie his rope around the deer's neck to drag it out of the woods. When he began to pull the deer out of the woods, it sprung back to life and jumped up, and here my uncle Tom is, with a "leash" tied around this huge buck's neck, kicking and jumping trying to get away from him... not to mention having an arrow still lodged down it's throat.
Tune in next week... to see if my Uncle Tom survives. ( )
Until then, you can do your history homework on Vermont here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Mountain_Boys

When I left home and joined the Navy I, being from AL, thought I knew what a redneck was....until I married a girl from NH and moved to her neck of the woods.
LOL!

I've encountered some in Washington State. Went to a bar near Everson, walked past a pickup truck. It was unlocked with the windows rolled down. Sitting on the dash was a Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum revolver. Completly unattended. Very different attitudes there.

LOL... Thanks for the compliment Dave. "Deliverance" was a good movie and all, but fairly tame for us. Redneck reaches an entire new level up here...
hehehehehe... you coming back up anytime for a visit? I'll show you around MY neck of the woods... we might not come back.

Lawrence, the reason it's unattended is people know that person has at least 10 more guns at home, and isn't afraid to use them to get his gun back from you if you stole it... self policing seems to be working fine.
