Can't Remember Dreaming?

Crap, so I'm a lucid dreamer. I'll write something about that soon and if you are into dreams you will buy it.................
but......
Right now it's been weeks since I remembered dreaming....I'm not saying don't remember the dream itself, but I actually don't even remember that I dreamed and that is reall freakin' weird. I'm hoping it's just a stress release reaction and will right itself pretty soon. I can't imagine having to start all the way back from the get to be able to do some lucid intervention sometime.
Hey Jared - BTW........That was some slick connecting on that gem dream last year.

With lucid dreams, you just have to be careful of the characters that don't believe they are imaginary figures. If you run into that problem enough, you may be better off not having the lucid dreams.

They don't have to know they are fictional - if you are in there lucidly, YOU know it and that is all that is needed. Compare it to wetting yourself if a TV character points a loaded gun at you - he doesn't know he's fictional, but are you going to be in deep dookie over it?
Incidentally - I remember a quick piece of a dream I had last night so either posting about it gave me a slap in the cereberal cortex or I'm just starting to relax again after moving.

I'm just saying you might know they are imaginary, but you may encounter resistance if they don't realize they're part of your imagination.

I practically never remember dreaming and it's been like that all my life.
I experimented with it for a while and I can "force" remembering dreams by having that intention before I go to sleep and writing everything I remember as soon as I wake up.
But I actually quite like the night just being blank. :)

That is the first step in remembering dreams, Shane - you have to insist to yourself that you remember. If you are using an alarm clock to get up, that will squash one heck of a lot of memory.

Do you mean to say you get up without an alarm? Consistently, at the same time?
I vary at least +/- 30 min without an alarm and I prefer getting up at the same time each day.

LOL - oh, hell no. I sleep without an alarm if it doesn't matter when I get up. But when you track and record your dreams regularly, you get more skilled at remembering them at least long enough to get at least pieces of them recorded.
It's been real hectic for me the last year and I ended up not recording - not paying attention, and when I finally stopped to pay attention, I realized that I'm not even remembering that I dreamed let alone what I dreamed about.
