The Gutenberg Project

I think this was mentioned somewhere before - but the Gutenberg project is a list of public domain books that you can download free (of course, donations are welcome).

They have all sorts of catagories.  You will need to repaginate works once you download them, but that's not much work for a free book.  You can also just use info from them if you so desire.

On my main site - the rockhound site, we have put 3 together for a reading room.  They are gold history so are very in tune with my viewers interests.  Keeps people on the site a little  longer and they come back to read further, end up browsing elsewhere on the site, too.

for content in a hurry in niche areas:

amazon.com

answers.yahoo.com

answers.com

answerbag.com

Requires a little bit of imagination however with added research, you can compose short snippets of valuable information.

Aime, those are terrific resources for ideas for articles.

I don't know about anyone else, but there are times when I just can't think of what to write about although I know I've got to put that content on my site to keep it moving.   By browsing questions about a topic, it's easy to figure out where to go next with the literature.

30,000 FREE downloadable eBooks! What can I say, other than "Awesome!" Thanks, Sal for the tip, and thanks Aimee for the other source suggestions. Cool

I have a niche site where more than half the content is from Project Gutenberg.

The site rocks!
